Symposium - a drinking party: The most important conversation in history was all about love.

Socrates attends an awards after-party for his friend Agathon, who won for best drama. As everyone claims their love for Agathon and his work, they decide that each give as clever a speech he can about the character and practice of love. They visit the themes of erotic and spiritual love, perfect love, young and old love, homosexuality, love as art, etc. The result is the most legendary conversation ever held which helped determin the Western perspective of love. Envisioned as a meeting of witty, hip thinkers of any era, the script uses updated language, but is faithful to Plato's version.
